Here’s some info about us (Find Amazing), what we do, and how we can work together!


WHO AM I?

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Jared Walker, I’m the founder of Find Amazing. I’m an Emmy Award-winning Director and Visual Effects Artist, and over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of viral videos, commercials, TV shows, and movies. I've had the opportunity to work with some very large brands (Google, Verizon, ESPN, Netflix) making advertising video content, and the viral videos I've worked on have over 300 Million views on social media. I started Find Amazing because it lets me work on video content I’m actually excited about (mostly content around retro nostalgia, nerdy pop culture, etc.), and it lets me help other small businesses at the same time.

WHO ARE WE?

WHAT WE DO

Find Amazing is a wonderful mix of some of the things we’re most passionate about—video content, social media engagement, pop culture, and scavenger hunts. Our goal at Find Amazing is to share videos that catch people’s attention and get them to want to engage, both online and in real life! We do this mainly in two ways:

  1. Attention-grabbing videos

    We make entertaining and attention-grabbing videos to hook people and get them to watch more. Combining live action footage with visual effects / CGI adds a unique magic to our videos and draws the viewer in. Each of our videos also includes something from pop culture (eg. retro nostalgia, nerdy pop culture, gaming, books, etc.). It could be a movie, toy, or video game from your childhood that sparks a memory and sense of nostalgia for you. Or it could be something popular right now that people are geeking out about on social media. Tapping into these fandoms helps our videos be more engaging and shareable.

  2. Real-world scavenger hunts and giveaways

    Each video we post is tied to a real-world scavenger hunt and/or giveaway. For the scavenger hunts, something related to the video is hidden out in the real world for our viewers to find. This adds another dimension to our videos outside of social media that make the videos more exciting and get people to keep following our accounts (so they can be involved in future hunts). We also run online giveaways to include people that don’t live locally to the real-world scavenger hunts. Social media giveaways help the engagement of videos when people need to like and share in order to enter. It also helps build your social media following.

We love working with people and brands that are passionate about the same kinds of things we are, and we love helping out fellow small businesses! Honestly it’s a win-win for everyone. Here are the benefits to the people involved:

  1. The Brand (You)

    We promote, tag, and collaborate with your brand in our videos to get you more awareness and engagement on social media. If you’re a brick and mortar company, we get actual people (potential customers) in the door using our scavenger hunt and prizes. If you’re an online store, we increase visits, sales, and revenue. With online giveaways we get you more followers and email subscribers that you can promote your brand and products to directly after the campaign. To sum up, our social media campaigns have seen huge results for the brands we work with (see case study down below for more details).

  2. The Viewer

    The viewers not only get to watch an entertaining video, but then they get to take it a step further and participate in a giveaway or scavenger hunt in real life. We’ve already seen a huge increase in engagement and connection through our scavenger hunts and giveaways. So far we’ve gotten rave reviews from people letting us know how fun the scavenger hunts have been for them and their families. It’s a wonderful way to get people excited and engaged beyond the normal social media doomscroll. And our giveaways have been a huge hit with people on social media, mainly because of the unique and exclusive nature of the prizes we offer.

  3. Find Amazing (Us)

    Through collaborations we get to help out other small businesses. This is something we really care about, and it’s one of the things that brings us fulfillment in our work. And through collaborations we can also be sustainable as a small business of our own. We need to keep the lights on to continue doing what we love, and paid collaborations with other businesses helps us do that. We charge for our video and social media services, but in return we provide an ROI for your business. And as we work with more brands, we share our followings with each other and help build each other up.

It really is a win-win for everyone involved, and that’s what we love most about these collaborations. For more specifics about what’s involved in a collaboration, read on below.


HOW IT WORKS

A CASE STUDY

When a brand wants to collaborate with us, we’ll meet to talk through the videos and campaign. Here are the goals we keep in mind for each campaign we run:

  • Get awareness for the brand on social media

  • Get potential customers into the brick-and-mortar store or online business

  • Get more followers and email subscribers for future promotion opportunities

The videos that we make for the campaign will keep these goals in mind. We work together with the brand’s owner / decision-maker on the ideas for the videos so that they fit with the brand’s style and reflect well on the brand. Each collaboration campaign we run will have a minimum of 2 videos included, but may have more depending on the brand’s goals and budget.

Here’s an example of a collaboration we ran with Ninja Nerdcraft so you can see the process of how it worked, as well as the results from the campaign:

Ninja Nerdcraft

Ninja Nerdcraft is a handcrafted collectibles brand that creates unique art and display pieces inspired by nerd culture, gaming, fantasy books, and more. You can see some of their unique products and creations in the images below:

We worked with Ninja Nerdcraft to create a total of 4 videos for their collaboration campaign. The campaign was centered around a unique movie collectible they had made that was a recreation of the Logan music box featured in the movie Deadpool 2. That Logan music box was to be the big giveaway at the end of the campaign, and all of the videos were themed around Deadpool and Wolverine so that the entire campaign felt cohesive and fit together nicely.

Video 1:

The first video was an entertaining and engaging video made with the goal of grabbing the viewer’s attention. It was a story-driven video featuring Deadpool and Wolverine action figures interacting in an entertaining and comedic way. It also included motion graphics and visual effects to add to the production quality and to make the video more engaging. The entertaining and comedic nature of the video helped more people engage with and share the video (and got the algorithm to share with more people as well). This first video introduced the theme of the campaign (Deadpool and Wolverine) and got people interested to see what else was coming next.

Video 2:

The second video was for the scavenger hunt. We went and hid a Deadpool object out in the wild, posted a video of it, and then had people try and find and scan it to win a prize. This kind of video is great for getting people to engage on social media. They ask about the location and try and guess where it is in the comments, they watch the video over and over to see if they can figure out the location, and they save the video so they can go back and watch it again later.

But it also gets people to have a real-life experience with the brand outside of social media, which leaves a more lasting impression on them. It gets them out of the doom scroll and lets them have a fun, real-world experience that they can’t have through just social media.

Video 3:

The third video was to show that the scavenger hunt drop had been found and that the prize had been claimed. These videos aren’t always the most engaged-with videos in the campaign, but they serve a useful purpose. They get viewers to feel some FOMO from not taking part in the scavenger hunt and seeing someone else winning the prize. We want the people that view these videos to feel that FOMO so that they are looking forward to future videos and so that they take part in the giveaway once it’s posted. These videos also get people curious to learn more about the scavenger hunt, and they end up going and watching other videos on the account as a result.

Video 4:

The big giveaway at the end of the campaign was for a one-of-a-kind Logan music box that actually rotates and plays music just like the movie version. This unique movie collectible isn’t something that’s available to purchase anywhere, so it was a big draw to get people to enter the giveaway.

Viewers were required to like the post and tag a friend on the video in order to enter the giveaway, which helped increase engagement and got the algorithm to share the video with more people. They were also required to follow the accounts of both Ninja Nerdcraft and Find Amazing. And for extra entries into the giveaway they could tag additional friends and sign up for an email list.

THE RESULTS

The videos we made were fun and entertaining, but how did we actually help Ninja Nerdcraft as a business?

  • Over 70,000 views across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

  • Over 60,000 organic views

  • Hundreds of new followers across platforms

  • New email subscribers for future marketing

  • Sales on NinjaNerdcraft.com up 500%

  • ROI on campaign over 400%

  • Created Ninja Nerdcraft’s most viewed and engaged video of all time (without ad spend for that video)


THE INVESTMENT

WHAT DOES IT COST?

Of course a lot of time and effort on our end goes into creating videos, running scavenger hunts and giveaways, posting on social media, and everything else involved with running our small business. So obviously we need a way to make this business sustainable so that we can keep making video content in the future. So this begs the question, how much will this collaboration campaign cost you?

Well, the good news is that it will cost you…NOTHING! You won’t have to pay money to us anyway, not for our video services. We don’t want compensation until after we’ve proven that we’re worth the investment.

For our first collaboration together we’re not asking for any monetary compensation, we just ask that you provide the prizes for the scavenger hunt and giveaway. We also ask that you cover minimal ad costs ($100 or less) to make sure we get targeted views on your campaign right away. So technically it will cost you something, but even the prizes and ad spend will be a benefit to you. You can give away specific prizes that have the added benefit of getting more people into your store or business. For example, gift cards that need to be used in your store, or a product that needs to be picked up in-store. And the ad spend will drive more awareness to your videos and brand, helping ensure our campaign is successful.

So yes, there is a small initial investment. But we won’t charge you for our video services right off the bat because we want to make it a no-brainer to work with us. And if the campaign ends up being a success and you receive a good return on your investment, then we can talk about additional work and compensation for future projects. Again, we’re looking for a win-win situation for everyone involved.
